Genre: LGBTQ Hockey Romance

My name is Poppy St. James and I’ve just landed my dream job as the Director of Public Relations for the NHL’s hottest new team, the Jacksonville Rays. But if I want to stay beyond my one-year contract, I'll have to prove myself. Easy. PR is in my blood.

What’s not so easy are the hockey players. First, there’s party boy defenseman Lukas Novikov. I don’t care how well he plays hockey. Off the ice, he’s a PR nightmare. Managing this man is quickly becoming my full-time job.

Did I mention my wildly inappropriate crush on his fellow defenseman, Colton Morrow? He’s sweet and kind and might just be perfect for me…but he’s totally off limits. I don’t date my players. It’s enough work managing their messy private lives without becoming part of the story myself.

Everything changes the day my sister makes a devastating announcement. One phone call sends me spiraling…right into the arms of
both my rival defensemen. And just like that, I’ve officially become my own PR crisis. Now I’m staring down at a little blue plus sign and I have no strategy, no idea what comes next. All I know is that nothing will ever be the same…for any of us.

I have been waiting for this book since reading Pucking Around. Well, if you read Pucking Around I'm sure you were waiting around for it as well. It was well worth the wait!

Poppy is awesome. I loved her arc of learning how to take no sh*t and stand up for what she deserves. Everyone could take a pointer from that! I know that I would like to take some of that attitude into my every day life.

Colton and Lukas are perfection. If the reason why we had to wait for this book is because Colton and Lukas wouldn't let her wrap it as MFM instead of MMF than I fully understand. They are meant for one another. And we can all be happy that they had Poppy, and of course Jake and Caleb, to help them along that journey together.

Poppy's family issues were a lot. Like. Talk about toxic. I'm so glad that she figured it out eventually, but what the heck. Having to be the maid of honor for your sister who's getting married to your ex-fiance? That is a lot. I'm so proud of this fictional character for how she handled the whole situation. And now I am desperate for the next Ever After volume, and of course, book 4. <3
